Further exhibitions in Germany and Switzerland followed and in 1993 Mole managed to fulfill a lifetime dream of seeing Everest. (50th. birthday)
The previous years saw Mole on quite a few jet plane trips what with the skiing and the galleries. He knew the extraordinary stress pilots experience during take-off and landing. The lights dim, hush, sweaty palms. It seemed an interesting time to do impromptu crayon drawing. You do this at take-off as the brakes are released and you are going whooooosh. Again upon landing. The brain, unable to be that nervous and manage a drawing at the same time, can throw up some starnge stuff.
Return from Bombay is the result of one of those drawings.
